A 14 year old girl, named Cathy Yarrow, from Toronto, moves with her newly single mother and sister to Parry Sound, Ontario. She finds the transition difficult but makes a new friend named Evelyn. The topic of hockey comes up and we are made aware of the fact that Cathy used to play goalie for a Toronto girl's team.
Storyline
A 14 year old girl, named Cathy Yarrow, from Toronto, moves with her newly single mother and sister to Parry Sound, Ontario. She finds the transition difficult but makes a new friend named Evelyn. The topic of hockey comes up and we are made aware of the fact that Cathy used to play goalie for a Toronto girl's team.
As the two girls watch the Parry Sound Bantam boys hockey team practice she soon decides to tryout for the team as a goalie. She is met with resistance, but also gets support, especially from the star forward of the team.
